Louis L. Knowles (2012-2015)

Rev. Knowles began serving as Interim Pastor on Jan. 1, 2012. Previously, Rev. Knowles served for ten years as President of the Vellore CMC Foundation. In that capacity, he organized support in the United States for the largest and most successful Christian health institution in India.

Rev. Knowles was an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and served for six years on the Board of Trustees of the Presbytery of New York. He also was President of Presbyterian Senior Services in New York City for four years. He served as Interim Pastor of University Heights Presbyterian Church in the Bronx from 2000 to 2002 and was Parish Associate in several congregations during his career.

Rev. Knowles received his Doctor of Ministry degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary. He grew up in California and has made his home on the east coast for many years. He and his wife, Guadalupe, have two children.
