Newtown Puppets Go to Broadway

Created: Saturday, June 11, 2016

The Newtown Puppets, FPCN's children's puppet ministry, took its show on the road as it travelled to Broadway (the Broadway in Elmhurst, that is!) to perform at the We Love Elmhurst Plaza event at Clement C. Moore Playground.

The Newtown Puppets performed Proud to Be a Christian, previously performed during the May 29 worship service at FPCN. The performance took place at 12:00 PM on Sat. Jun. 11.

The outdoor event was free and open to the public. It included arts and crafts, science demos, free popcorn, and live music. The Clement C. Moore Playground is on Broadway and 82nd St. and 45th Ave. Clement C. Moore is a descendant of the Rev. John Moore, FPCN's first pastor. The playground is located on the site of the Moore family homestead, which was demolished when the subway was built through Elmhurst.
